Well our adventure into the world of Pokémon has been kinda of a bad experience so far.

There is SOOO much more than just ripping open packs or just collecting. From scalpers that suck up every last product out there then mark everything up. To poor quality of customer service when it comes to a couple of card shop or vendor stores.

First time I just wanted help and advice on what I should be doing and what I could do to turn my small childhood collection into something greater. He immediately shot down my Yugioh cards. Then followed immediately up by "we dont do card evaluations". Even though they evaluate all the cards to trade or sell but this is besides the point.

Second store/vendor market store was met with only one willing to take my bulk. Oh sure he was helpful and friendly. I showed him my Charizard card valued at $585 in near mint condition and about $215 in the condition mine is in. All I wanted from this card is to generate some capital to fund some other card investments that will gain money over time. Well he took me as a total noob and tried to lowball me by trying to pass my card off as another. Then offered $126 for all of it after only doing 80% of the price.
He offered me 2 unsealed Black Bolt and White Flare booster boxes or some trades from his cards. I didnt accept the offer. Even though in the condition they are in the collection is still worth over $450 minus the ones I want to keep so about $400. Even at 80% it still comes out to $320. I mean come on. Its because bulk basic cards hold virtually no value to vendors so they roll it up in one for $20 take it or leave it.

I did find someone to take all my Yugioh cards and that was about $50 worth. I got good value out of that deal.

So to wrap it up. Being a small time new collector just looking to make a small splash in the market. It hasn't been a good experience. Hopefully things will turn around.

To be honest I just canceled my Midjourney subscription. Due to it being to expensive for me at the moment. I just don't do it enough anymore to justify keeping it at this time.

Well there's the total for my cards combined. When added up it doesnt seem like much. I have to start somewhere I guess. If I could get some cards graded it would increase the value a bit. It would give me something to work with.

My biggest problem is cash flow for getting started. I guess I just rip packs and wish for the best.
