@JarretNoDegree @eternalrll I'm aware fortnite is the reason for that, that's why I was saying it changed when epic bought it. A team called [redacted] that just made the Boston LAN no org backed the team until they actually showed up. Those guys made the major based on skill alone.

@JarretNoDegree @eternalrll Epic bought the game in 2020 and they have started changing the format more and more open since. RLCS used to be a league play format that was much harder to get into and only had 2 new teams once a year but it changed to this new open format in 2020 in season X

@JarretNoDegree @eternalrll My team won a couple matches in lower bracket did not get far at all I am not a top percentile player, I'm in my early 20s I just do it for fun with my friends. I'm not arguing that I am a top level player. They did change the age to 13 in 2024 that's right. 1/2

@JarretNoDegree @eternalrll I did it last weekend I did not travel. RLCS does open qualifiers 6 times a year. Top 16 from each open make points that qualify them for the major lans that happen twice a year to gain additional points to help them qualify for the world championships. It's not closed format

@JarretNoDegree @eternalrll Anyone can sign up for RLCS with two teammates and make it to the main event if they are the best. (Every team has to do this including the top players starting each split) Can it be hard to make it on an org? Yes. Do you need an org to make a major in rocket league? No.
