Gyökeres & Martinelli: Is this the end? 👀

Two players. Two very different situations. But with both left out of the squad and rumours swirling, you can't help but wonder…

Are we watching the beginning of the end for two Gunners?

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but given what it took to get Gyökeres to Arsenal, I really don't want to believe we're already talking about an exit.

Has he been outstanding? No.
Should we let him go? I really hope not.

I genuinely believe he'll be better this season. And having someone like Tzolis, who releases the ball quicker and seems to see that killer pass, could actually help him.

And if we're talking about Álvarez, he shouldn't be the reason Gyökeres leaves. Álvarez should stay where he is. 👀

Give Gyökeres a proper season. 🔴⚪️

GABRIEL MARTINELLI

Nelli is different for me. ❤️
I love that guy. He's one of us.
He has given us some incredible moments and plenty of joy, even if we've also been frustrated with his performances lately.

But he has served this club well.

If there's a situation behind the scenes, I hope it can be managed properly. If he stays, he still has my love and support.

And if he eventually leaves, I'll wish him nothing but the best.
Because whatever happens next, Gabriel Martinelli is a GUNNER. 🔴⚪️

That is one thing I have also identified and tweeted on yesterday. The goals we conceded against Brighton reminded me a lot about the Man United defeat at the Emirates last season.

One mistake I think our defenders make is that they seems already for a duel thereby maintaining their position instead of closing up spaces around the goal area

Can some of you just put yourselves together. We lost yesterday and a bad one at that but this is not the time to start crashing out.

This is not the time to start picking out players for blames (We’re stuck with them anyways).

Games like that of yesterday just goes to show that we can and should always strive to do better.

Something I noticed about Arsenal yesterday and it reminded me of the Man United game at the Emirates last season.

Why do our defenders back off when the ball is around the edge of the box?

It sometimes feels like they’re preparing for the duel instead of stopping the shot.

You can’t give Premier League players that much space 20–25 yards out and expect them not to punish you.

Close the man. Kill the shot. Then worry about the duel.

We’ve conceded too many goals this way and we need to do something about this.

The Manager now has ample time to address this. Some teams are not interested in breaking down your Defence and they don’t need to break through your Defence to win a game. Man U proved it last season and Brighton did the same yesterday.

I may wash my hands away from Gyokeres matter. He did practically nothing to push himself today. If the ball is not coming to you, you go to where the ball is. That’s my Arteta would always favor Havertz and that again explains why we wanted Alvarez at all cost during the transfer window. #AFC #Arsenal
