Well, Red Wing proper has missed the snow so far, so Mississippi National will still be pretty thinly covered so not the best, but the mountain bike trails should be hard as a rock (if not a bit icy after the warm weather). We may get a bit of snow today yet...
Maybe some snow in the forecast? Trails are closed right now with the warm weather, but some snow and a little packing should make for great conditions!
Let's hope for a little snow! (and maybe a little bit warmer temps). Trails are probably fat bikeable currently, but I would think snow coverage would be a bit thin in some areas.
A little bit of snow falling currently. Still nothing really too measurable so fat bike tires not needed on the trails. Might be some ice around though so watch out!
Back to below freezing temps means that the trails should be hard as a rock and fun. We got a little snow yesterday, but not enough to require fat tires on the singletrack.
Have a fat bike? 3-4 (maybe more) miles of groomed fat bike trails will be at Mississippi National Golf Links, including the Highlands! There is also a group of folks that try and get out on the blue trails up on the bluff too. Now we just need snow!
Do you have studded tires? Trails should be fun! Don't have studded tires? The trails won't be too fun I don't think. It's icy out there. I'm fairly confident the gate will be closed for the year now as well.
Looking like a wet day out there today. Then it'll be COLD! Assume the trails will be closed today, and probably fairly icy the rest of the week. Though if you avoid icy puddles if the ground is frozen the trails are open.
the warmer than average weather doesn't stop... your mountain biking shouldn't either! Watch for some slick spots with all the leaves down, but get in a few more laps!
