@rtenews “A gesture of goodwill”? 😳 to make your job easier. Pushing for 2 days paid leave is just taking the p*ss. This is just madness. Job losses to come I’d say.
@Nick_Delehanty The cost of doing business is at an all time high. Unfortunately all the stuff EuroGiant sell can be found cheaper on websites like SHEIN and Temu. Small newsagents will be next.
WOW.
“640 jobs in Ireland under threat as EuroGiant enters liquidation.”
This is exactly what many of us here have been warning about. Domestic Irish businesses are under enormous pressure.
EuroGiant has been operating for over 30 years, yet it couldn’t survive under the reign of Fine Gael and Pascal Donohoe.
Government policy is tying businesses’ hands behind their backs. They’re being crushed by rising taxes, rising wages, and soaring costs, with little meaningful support.
What is the point of the corporate tax bonanza from Google and Apple if it’s not used to lower VAT, commercial rates, or energy costs for indigenous businesses?
A sad day. And a stark warning.
Extended version of Japanese police burrito wrapping a violent black man in Tokyo. The Japanese Gestapo (Kempeitai) used to black bag people. WW2 is over, so now they just burrito wrap enemies of the state
