@AtticusKen81648 @warhammer If you dont want to be precise with you application, you could do something like a pin wash. Otherwise be careful, especially with conrast paint that is really high pigmented and can cover lots of things you dont want to. Hope I could help you a little 😊.

@AtticusKen81648 @warhammer For this Salamander I painted all recess areas and lines with black ink, but you could basically use any color (preferably thinned down to have lots of Control). The Problem with washes and contrast paints (especially unthinned) is exactly what you described.
