Operation Entebbe (1976)

On July 4, 1976, an elite Israeli commando unit, Sayeret Matkal, undertook a daring mission, flying over 4,000 kilometers to Uganda's Entebbe Airport to rescue 102 hostages aboard an Air France flight hijacked by terrorists. The entire operation was executed under the cover of darkness and concluded in a swift 90 minutes.

Footage has surfaced depicting a failed attempt by the GUR International Legion to carry out a cross-border operation targeting an FSB position in Bryansk.

On October 27, 2024, members of the Rogue and Omega teams from the GUR International Legion were deployed with the mission to track and eliminate Russian FSB and SSO reconnaissance groups (DRGs). These groups had been responsible for cross-border ambushes in Ukraine’s Chernihiv and Sumy Oblasts, retreating into Russian territory after their operations. During their mission, the teams located and launched an assault on an FSB position in Bryansk. However, they were met with a counter-ambush by FSB Border Guards. The clash resulted in the loss of four operatives from Rogue Team.

Ukrainian forces successfully neutralized a Russian soldier during an engagement captured on video in Krasnohorivka, Donetsk Oblast, on May 25, 2024.

Footage from the helmet camera of a soldier with the callsign "Lis" shows members of the 117th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade valiantly fending off a mechanized Russian assault. The attacking forces employed two tanks and four BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, but the Ukrainian defenders managed to halt their advance, eliminating at least one enemy combatant in the process.
