🇵🇹 Portugal vs Netherlands 2012: every player had one job, get the ball to Ronaldo. It was like the ball had his name on it.
So sad that in 2026, Portugal can't find one player who can pass forward twice in a row without calling a meeting about it.
🚨 Roy Keane blast Thierry Henry on his comments about Ronaldo not being a team player
"Look, I’ve played with selfish players. I’ve played with team players. Ronaldo scores goals. That’s his job. He’s 41 and still dragging Portugal to chances. You think Portugal aren’t scoring because of him? They’re not scoring because the other players can’t put the ball in the net. Simple.
‘Cause of Portugal not scoring’ - nonsense. Absolute nonsense. Who else is taking responsibility? Who else is in the box when it matters? Bruno? Leão? They disappear in big games. Ronaldo’s still running channels, still demanding the ball, still doing the work at 41. Show me one other player in that squad with his mentality.
He is the best goalscorer for Chirst sake"
Ronaldo made his first Portugal appearance in 2003. Then he qualified them for 6 consecutive World Cups
Prior to that, they qualified in 2002 and left in the group stage. Before 2002, their last and only appearances were in 1986 and 1966.
Portugal was qualifying for World Cup" una.
Look at the difference in delivery when Ronaldo asks Bruno for a near post cross vs when he asked the same from an actual world class midfielder like Modric
He’s been crying that useless country on his back since 19.
Now he’s 41 and you fools are saying he’s the one holding them back.
They can’t carry him too?

People who achieved nothing in their footballing career are advising Cristiano Ronaldo how to play football and be a team player. This irony of this is very hilarious
I like how everyone saw how much a fake human being Bruno Fernandes is last night.
doesn't pass to Ronaldo, and would rather shoot abruptly or pass back
its obvious he's jealous what Ronaldo means to the Portugal national team and wish he's the one there
but he comes around to pull that fake humble gimmick
I've clocked him for years and would never be fooled by him
just one of the reasons I'll never rate him like his worshippers do.
🚨🎙️ Patrice Evra fires back at Thierry Henry for saying Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t know how to move as a No. 9 inside the box:
🗣️ “It’s funny how Thierry Henry wants to teach Cristiano Ronaldo how to move in the box and score goals. What a joke. 😂
This is Cristiano Ronaldo we are talking about, the man with the most goals in football history.
He plays as a No. 9 and has scored more goals than the very Thierry Henry who is criticizing him.
Yesterday’s match wasn’t on Cristiano, it was on Roberto Martínez.
DR Congo are a disciplined low-block team. They defend compactly, close down spaces, and frustrate opponents.
They are comfortable conceding possession while maintaining a strong defensive structure.
Roberto Martínez should have known this and come up with more ways to break a team like that down.
You cannot keep blaming the striker every time the team struggles to create chances.
At this point, I think it’s personal for Henry and not really about football anymore.” 👀
As much as some people won’t agree, I believe Ronaldo enjoyed playing with players like Nani, Quaresma, and others more than he does with this current set of players. It’s not necessarily because they were better, but because they understood how quickly football should be played.
Bruno, Vitinha, and João Neves are arguably among the best players in their positions on paper, yet they failed to create anything meaningful in 90 minutes. Somehow, Ronaldo ends up being blamed, just moving the ball around and Romancing it.
If it were Haaland, the narrative would be that he lacked service. But when it’s Ronaldo, he’s suddenly the problem. Meanwhile, the guy was making the runs, but the ball simply wasn’t getting to him.
