@RebelVista31 Also due to poor driving sense which compresses 8 lanes of traffic into 3 road lanes. No infrastructure can support lack of sense of using it. Europe has 2 lane roads and heavy car use but the roads are rarely gridlocked because people have habit of waiting in line.

@sidhshuk Even if all garbage was correctly collected, piled and even segregated, it wud most probably be burnt in open air at end of day. There is 0 waste mgmt at local body level, esp in mountain & tourist areas. Local bodies & govts must do their part in addition to tourists & locals

@JanhaviNilekani Population stability is overrated. Fewer people will find ways to maximise efficiency. Lower population is sustainable. If India's pop falls 50%, even if eco falls by 25%, we'll be better off on per capita basis. Will conserve scarce food, water & energy resources.

@meet_abhijit Wasn't reserve Bhatsa water used last year in May? Its effective storage was 0% but state govt alllwed BMC to draw from reserve below LDL. So there is still some buffer before predicted 2 week burst which hopefully fills up reservoirs.
