Head of cleaning at @CommonRioters brewery, also runs a beer cafe, occasionally brews beer @greengoddesspub in #Blackheath. Drives buses, less often. He/him

Just because it has a tiny notice saying @RoyalMail@RoyalMailHelp deliveries being made, doesn’t make it fine for your operative to park so dangerously. Across the pavement, on a zebra crossing…
Outside Westcombe Hill post office SE3. Not the 1st time either.
@TheMurkyDepths further west through to Charlton & new developments there. It’s too short otherwise & allows better arrangements at Woolwich.
It’ll never be a proper BRT, more like East London Transit which was basically some bus priority at juncs & special livery buses. Could be good tho
@TheMurkyDepths Lots of thoughts on this. Not least the 90s scheme inspired me to path of transport planning / TfL (before pubs obvs!).
There’s precedent of express bus from T.mead to Woolwich. (The original 472, with 272 as the stopper).
But I think for the case to work it’ll have to go 🧵
@Royal_Greenwich I’ve been asking for at least 8 years for a school street(s) outside Timbercroft primary. I’ll not hold my breath for its introduction. @PlumCommonCllrs
@MyWoolwich@Sarkies_Proxy@SadiqKhan@MayorofLondon@clarionuk@GreenGoddessPub In the same way google maps knows how busy places / roads are by how many phones are in the area (and how much they move). Travel data is used to see where and when demand is on the network.
We’re monitored every which way, so hardly surprising if some data is identifiable.
Hey @coopuk maybe you can make this make sense…. Too many offers, not enough stock = confused customers and defiant staff. The very small print suggests options available- but the till didn’t take it. Store supervisor reckoned it was only what’s in the picture. ?
@TheMurkyDepths Then there were the people who move in near bus stops/garages/stands/routes who’d campaign against them for being noise/polluting/harming them in some way. Never mind the 1000s who use the route. Why should I buy curtains…
@TheMurkyDepths In my former life at TfL I spent many years ‘dealing’ with the people of Paddington - mitigation of xrail works. To hear them, you’d think they were in a Cotswold village.
@5tewartChristie@Billo20Four7 Exactly!
I did an foi on this a while back and discovered what their was or more accurately wasn’t. No wonder the Boroughs road network is so far behind others for safety, equality and reduced car dominance.
@Billo20Four7@5tewartChristie If it’s like other street works then there’s no impact assessment made (severity then open to interpretation). And no records either. It’s purely a local decision about what happens, where and when. It’s completely barmy.
@5tewartChristie@Billo20Four7 They are referring, without naming, to LIP funding I think. Which many other boroughs used for more exciting/pragmatic/strategic schemes - rather than solely resurfacing. Managed decline doesn’t include more bollards tho. Plenty still in the kitty for them!
Why has this been allowed to happen, for works on the old toilets? (Bus stop U, Beresford Square). The bus stop needs to be closed, or at least the layby filled in, otherwise there’s going to be a series incident. The desire line is strong here. @Royal_Greenwich
🍺🍺Exciting beery news!
Next Thursday 14/9 come and meet author @DavidJesudason he’ll be chatting with @Vincenzoo all about Desi Pubs and their shared love of beer! We’ve organised excellent snackages from @thegladpub and beer from White Rhino Brewery India. #Beer#Desipub
@TheMurkyDepths It’s always been a really poorly designed bus stop. It ought to be closed while the works are there. Desire line for many is xrail - can’t see many walking all the way round the railings by the shops.
