What is it lately with people screaming Boomer?
I’m Gen X
The latchkey generation. Both parents worked, so we came home to an empty house, grabbed the key on a string, and stayed out until the streetlights came on.
We didn’t vandalize people or communities.
We drank straight from the garden hose, played baseball in the street with our friends, and rode our bikes without six layers of protective gear. 💪
No internet. No Google. We fixed our own stuff, MacGyver was our hero, and we figured life out on our own. MTV was our TikTok, and we had the best music, hands down. 🎸
We hustled for our own money with paper routes and lawn mowing jobs.
We didn’t live with Mom and Dad until we were 30. We learned real self-reliance.
We’re the generation that gave zero fucks. and still doesn’t. 🔥
@Stellaaa@donnalynn591 Exactly what you’re doing 🤍
Keep speaking out so people really grasp the horrors that no one should live by.
My niece lives in Fresno, she refuses to go to LA.
She said Fresno was little LA.
I’m less than two thousand friends from half a million friends on this platform.
I’ve been stuck at this number for months, now. Before that, I’d been stuck at around 487k for months. Needle simply isn’t moving for me. At all.
Despite that, I’m staying who I am. No race master baiting for clicks and likes (even though I get hatred from the Cult of Chud every day). No “HAPPENING NOW,” or “JUST IN,” or “NEWSFLASH” posts where I’m simply retweeting a story from Fox News. No topless gray sweats pics… although I’m about a month away from stagnant growth from doing so.
I’m going to remain who I am and hope the algorithm fixes itself. Besides, I can’t leave everyone who has stuck with me over the past couple years and watched me go from a guy uncertain of his voice to the serial social media flamethrower I am today.
For the next couple days, I’ll post when I can. It’s going to be a crazy time in my life.
Thank you all for being here.
Hugs,
Zeek
