This wasn’t written based off of short sided emotion.
It’s written off facts and failure driven by an urgency to find success before key pieces depart.
My thoughts on why it’s time for major changes in the Reds front office

Just to hammer home how insane it is that Matt McLain is going to be getting run in center field here are his ranks among qualified hitters since the start of 2025:
AVG: 128/128
OBP: 115/128
SLG: 126/128
OPS: 128/128
wRC+: 127/128
He has been the worst hitter in baseball for 2 years and the Reds are actively trying to find ways to get him on the field.
That is patently insane.
Dane Myers has hit into 16 double plays the last 2 seasons in less than 420 ABs.
There’s only 5 players with less ABs and more double plays hit into the last 2 seasons and 3 of them are catchers.
Terry Francona opened spring training telling the club to believe "It's Time" to go toe-to-toe against baseball's best.
Entering the final weekend of June:
2-16 vs NL Central
14-26 vs teams at or above .500
Take your shirts off.
Win free pizza.
Buy cheap concessions.
Bring your dog to the game.
Woo.
Do the wave.
Get a bobblehead.
Watch the fireworks.
Check out the cool new uniforms.
Just, please, don't expect the #Reds to win.
Nick Krall should be unemployed and they must hire someone externally if they ever went to get out of the purgatory they’re in. I’ve been saying this for years.
Nothing will change if you just keep promoting from within.
The Reds have had good pieces for the last 5+ years but nothing comes of it because he can never build a proper, competitive team.
This 78-83 win purgatory isn’t fun. The flashes are fun, but it all ends the same. Mid.
