So incredibly proud of these Mighty McQueeney Writers! They worked so hard during their free write time and then got to share during a Musical Mix and Freeze. Check out those dance moves! 😂@McQueeneyESISD#1heart1seguin
We spent the last part of our day finishing The Tale of Despereaux. Sometimes you just need a good read aloud. Our goal is to read 4 novels together this year. 2 down, 2 to go! Feel free to leave some suggestions! @McQueeneyESISD
I asked my class last week what their favorite games or activities are that we do in class and Battleship was high on their list. Such an easy way to engage with low prep. Next up this week, Stinky Feet! @McQueeneyESISD
We used an S3 strategy Mrs. Eckols shared with us today and I was so impressed with the academic discussion it encouraged and the level of rigor. I loved the opportunity to analyze and revise a partner’s work. Ss were thinking, talking, writing. So proud! @McQueeneyESISD
Oh what fun! Shout out to @MWiley19 for bringing ALL the Christmas cheer! We loved getting to watch the kids’ plays that they had worked so hard on. They were so proud and so are we. ❤️💚🖤💛 @McQueeneyESISD @SeguinISD
Really proud of the work happening in room 17. Theme is one of our weak TEKS from Module 4 so we tried a different approach today with a new Lead4ward strategy. The students became the teacher for Each One Teach One. Great for academic discussion! 💛🖤@McQueeneyESISD
Here’s the good stuff, the stuff I’m so thankful for. When you finish a book & there’s a collective, audible disappointment bc a book was so good that we didn’t want it to end. I’ll teach forever just for moments like this. What a joy & privilege to share it w the sweetest class.
We loved making recycled versions of Roz the robot from The Wild Robot. Overheard at intersession: “Ms. Reder, I love intersession!” Mission accomplished. 🥰💛🖤@McQueeneyESISD
Loving the intersession sunshine! We’ve enjoyed these past 2 days with such a small group of kiddos. Lots of fun and hard work happening at @McQueeneyESISD
