During the intro portion of the session, Anthony was excited to show a sneak peek of a #forensicsciences educational project he has been working on involving a stop motion #Lego search and recovery team locating a Doe. Click here to see the sneak peek:

Update: Preble County "Penny" Jane Doe, Eaton OH 1968-Penny Jane Doe's DNA is requiring additional steps to get a usable file for forensic genetic genealogy. We still need help with funding her case and that need is even greater with the DNA being extremely difficult to process.
Her skeletal remains were exposed to the elements for a long time, and her DNA is very degraded, but we will not give up. We are especially dedicated to this case.

ANNOUNCEMENT: We will be closing FG4LE in its current form on 8/15/22. The online course and the internship program with @RedgraveRFS will remain open to enrollment until that date. If you have wanted to take the course but have been putting it off, now is the time to enroll!🧵
Bill Lewis was formerly known as Jasper County John Doe, and was found deceased in Indiana in 1983. More information about Bill's memorial service as well as more information about his case can be found here: https://t.co/6lRqoxSU7o 💜
We were contacted by family of Bill Lewis, who was identified by our Forensic Genetic Genealogy team late last year. They would like to invite individuals (no media) who cared about Bill's case over the years to a memorial service to be held in Peru, IN in August. (contd)
@GenealogyMisc @genzgenealogy @DnaDoeProject@DanielGenealogy Nothing, we were tagged in to the convo but with incorrect information, so we felt the need to respond. Carry on
@GenealogyMisc @genzgenealogy @DnaDoeProject@DanielGenealogy There are many reasons why it is essential for genealogists handling incredibly sensitive casework to have appropriate training while working for law enforcement. We do agree there should be accessible entry to the field, so we offer a sliding scale and LGBT+/BIPOC scholarships.
@genzgenealogy @GenealogyMisc @DnaDoeProject@DanielGenealogy Hi! Our FG4LE program is not aimed at young people, though we have had some young students do very well with us! We have students from college through retirement age, and tailor their experiences to their individual goals and previous experience. Thanks for the tag!
The other update: Anthony Redgrave just got back from a trip to #Idaho, where he was working on an upcoming project with Dr. Michael and Dr. Blatt related to the Loveless case! We will be excited to tell you more about it as soon as we can. Stay tuned!
