In fact, all the better if your presents & rewards are not over the top.

It keeps them humble, grateful and discourages kids from being demanding.

I'd love to find out who decides how long our half terms are going to be & ask why they put 9 weeks before Christmas. Attendance is the worst I've seen it all year, staff & students are ill & exhausted. Surely there's enough evidence to show it needs to change. #9weekhalfterm

A girl ran from detention tonight, the parent brought them back and sat the detention with them. They did it to show their daughter that poor decisions have consequences and to support our high expectations ethos. Well done to the parent. 👍

My academy trust analysed some data and found that the end of this week is always the worst for student behaviour and teacher absence.

So they’ve given everyone tomorrow off to fix the problem. 😄

Ofsted have, albeit unintentionally, managed to create a curriculum monster. We’re already seeing the workload casualties as schools try to trot out rushed curricular ‘intent’ statements at the expense of everything else. Have Ofsted not learnt from past mistakes in this respect?
