Born at a very young age.
Co-founder & CTO @ VIBES
did other things like engineer, like product director, like dx lead at places like @buffer & like @convex
It's funny to think about these new experiences while building, like opening a PR link that "I" authored, and thinking "I hope I already merged this", then seeing that sweet, sweet purple chip.
"Nice, no PRs open"
@sunils34 i swap out willy nilly. sometimes i’m just vibin with one agent and sometimes im not
https://t.co/zTEcT2eeuq is pretty solid facilitating this but not necessary!
if you’ve ever built a house, you understand the leverage that large machinery has over manual labor.
llms are the heavy machinery of software development. professionally, its negligent not to use heavy machinery.
we’ve had a few false starts trying to get a reliable scripted seed function going.
what we need is to define what tables to seed, include relationships and cap at n records per table
our schema often changes faster than we can maintain the script so we just… don’t use previews
slow websites are ableist against us with adhd because if it don't show up like NOW i'm already off somewhere merging to main or pushing to prod and i don't feel like that's on me
I asked Opus 5.5 to explain camera focus by building an interactive lens lab
Here's what it came up with after 1 hour 26 minutes in one shot, $25.66 API cost

Move the focus ring and you can see the glass elements shift the sharp plane through the scene
I was very keen on xstate + convex about a year ago, but couldn’t wrap my head around the ergonomics. i still feel like a state machine solves many, many design challenges and i would love to revisit it.
my overarching idea was to store xstate in convex so everything was always perfectly consistent + the power of a robust state machine keeping business logic constrained at the system level
oh shnip not sure how I missed that.
well... i was looking, and it is small... but I should have spotted it.
loving the agentic approach coupled with Paper. Seeing significantly faster & better results with this workflow vs., doing direct in code/html where half the time the agent is guessing what'll look like.
