@Clay_sno The amount of people that continue to make excuses for Benson is wild. He either has more burners than anyone I’ve ever seen or people just don’t get that at some point you are what your numbers say you are. He may get “unlucky” but at some point there’s probably a reason for it
Happy Hoopsgiving!
To show our gratitude for your support, we’re giving away @HomefieldApparl! We’ll pick 5 people who will each win $100 in merch.
All you have to do is RT this post to spread the good word of some ELITE college basketball today.
Good luck and happy hoops!
@sgoldsworth2@Nati_Sports@LovelandSportsG I’m not sure. I got those numbers from Nick Kirby and I don’t know if he took arbitration into account but I would assume that he did. Obviously some holes would need to be filled with younger cheaper options but that would be part of the gamble of acquiring a difference maker
@sgoldsworth2@Nati_Sports@LovelandSportsG It actually wouldn’t. They’ve got about 40 million available as of now and that’s without moving or DFAing anyone else. Schwarber will probably get something in the 25 mil per year range. They could make a legit offer if they want.
Reds owner Bob Castellani is entering his Age 84 season. Son Phil now CEO. When the elder Castellini passes, the Organization will be sold for at least $1.5B.
So why not offer hometown kid Kyle Schwarber a deal he can’t turn down? Structure it with heavy deferred money the next Ownership group will pay.
Say
7-$200M
2026 $30M
2027 $10M
2028-2029 $22.5M Per
2030-2032 $15M Per
$70M Deferred
Leave a Legacy @Reds
