Yesterday morning we had great fun playing outdoors in the rain ☔️ We added some powder paint and the children made blue cups of tea in the mud kitchen ☕️🤩 Lots of pouring and scooping the rain water 💦 @RedscopeSchool

Purple was the colour today 🎨🟪 The children explored paint with sponges and brushes. Lots of squeezing, squelching, pressing and of course hand prints ✋🏻#finemotor#sensoryplay#creative@RedscopeSchool
Paddling in the tuft tray yesterday 💧exploring water with our feet is much more exiting than our hands 🙌🏼 The children also noticed that the ground isn’t flat as the water was only at one side of the tray! @RedscopeSchool#waterplay#sensory#Science
Using our fire pit for the first time following on from some role play earlier on in the week 🔥🍢 The children had great listening ears and were able to follow rules to keep them safe! “We were camping!” “Cooking sweets!” “It’s hot! I smell it” @RedscopeSchool#realexperiences
So far @RedscopeSchool have rewilded around 7000m² of our land. We want to go further and we need help. We want to continue our rewilding project next year, so if anyone could support us by donating wildflower seeds or bulbs, we'd be hugely grateful. We're going #greytogreen
We had some visitors today at REY 🤩 Freddy the tortoise and an Axolotl 🐢🦎
The children were very excited meeting them both and finding out about what they eat! Thank you to two of our families for sharing your pets 🤩 @RedscopeSchool
We had a great afternoon at the park today 🤩 We played in the park, had our snack in the shade and then played with the parachute. Then we went a cool walk into the woods 🌳 We didn’t see any monkeys or lions 🦁 but we did hear the birds in the trees 🐦🐤 @RedscopeSchool
Our @Talk4Writing this half term is “Dear Zoo” so …. we wrote to the zoo to send us a pet 🐵🐯🐍 We talked about what animals we already have as pets, what we would like as a pet and if we did have a lion or camel 🐫 - where would it sleep? @RedscopeSchool
Our maths focus this week has been comparing sizes and weights. The children have been weighing jungle animals, building the longest road with bricks and comparing our heights to our friends @RedscopeSchool
The children had great fun this afternoon on the school field! We met our friends from Clever Kittens, made a very tall pile of grass and had a closer look at some daisies and the fruit on the trees 🍃🌸🌼 We did lots of running, rolling and moving our bodies 🤩 @RedscopeSchool
Every time the men come to cut the grass, our children are fascinated 🤩 This morning, the boys heard them in the distance, recognised the sound and spent their whole morning cutting our grass 🌱 #roleplay@RedscopeSchool
What a great first week back! The amount of great learning experiences we have crammed into 4 days has been wonderful! 🤩 The beginning of a very busy half term! 🥰
