5 positives out of this season for the Tennessee Titans:
#titans
1. Harold Landry is back.
2. Denico Autry is still a beast.
3. Tyjae Spears is special.
4. DeAndre Hopkins still has "it".
5. Will Levis shows a lot of promise.
Frank Wycheck was all-time great Titan and was the first great Titan to move into an off field position where the fans could learn from his insight and get to know his big personality. I cheered for him as a player and listened to him every AM with Mark and Kevin. A huge loss.
The 2019 Titans…
RT17 making next to nothing
Big Jeff rookie contract
AJ rookie contract
Henry rookie contract
Corey Davis rookie contract
Jonnu rookie contract
Conklin rookie contract
Landy rookie contract
Byard rookie contract
HOW DID WE MAKE NOTHING OF THIS
#Titans fans who live relatively within the Titans bubble, I encourage you to step outside of said bubble.
Will Levis has struggled, but Will Levis is showing clear flashes each and every Sunday.
That is the standard rule. That is all you typically ask of in a rookie QB, especially one in such a dysfunctional situation. The focus should be on that.
The focus should not be on the *exceptions* to the rule (i.e. Dak Prescott, Justin Herbert, C.J. Stroud) who came in and lit it up.
He will be a fine QB in this league. Look at the rookie years of current top QB’s.
• Mahomes: 2nd string.
• Rodgers: 2nd string.
• Allen: struggled, showed flashes.
• Burrow: struggled, showed flashes.
• Hurts: struggled, showed flashes.
• Tagovailoa: struggled, showed flashes.
• Jackson: struggled, showed flashes.
• Lawrence: struggled, showed flashes.
The list goes on. Step outside the Titans bubble, make reasonable conclusions on the rest of the NFL, apply them to the Titans, and you will come away content with the play of your rookie QB thus far.
He’s playing at an above average level for a rookie QB, he has the traits you see in the star QB’s, and by all accounts, he has the right mentality to be a successful, productive QB in this league.
No, he is not Patrick Mahomes right now, he is not Dan Marino right now, and he is not Peyton Manning right now.
But my goodness, he is NOT Zach Mettenberger.
devastated. heartbroken. In so much disbelief rn, I wish my leg broke earlier in the season so y’all could see this team is much more than the quarterback. I thought results matter. 13-0 and this roster matches up across any team in those top 4 rankings. I am so sorry. Go Noles!
