Few actors possessed the intensity, individuality and unmistakable presence that Shri Nana Patekar Ji had. He brought remarkable versatility and creativity to every role and gave us characters that will be remembered for generations. He was also admired for his frank and forthright views, never hesitating to express what he believed in.

Shri Nana Patekar’s contribution to Hindi and Marathi cinema was immense. His passing leaves a deep void. My condolences to his family, friends and countless admirers. Om Shanti.

Imagine if there had been no CCTV, Professor Doola would have been in jail by now.

A CCTV is literally fighting the entire system.

Captain #SmitMachchhar chanted the #HanumanChalisa invoking Lord Hanuman to protect him & his passengers. The Hanuman Chalisa is India’s incredible cultural legacy of devotional hymns dedicated to #Hanuman and attributed to the 16th century poet-saint Goswami #Tulsidas.

"We are not people who take lives, we are people who save lives."

Echoing the powerful words of PM @narendramodi. The Embassy of Israel in the UAE salutes Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery. True heroism and the sanctity of life know no borders.

We wish Captain Smit "Refuah Shlemah" (רפואה שלמה) — the traditional Jewish prayer for a complete and speedy recovery. 🇮🇳🇮🇱🇦🇪

[Embassy of Israel to the USA @IsraelinUSA]

This man is a hero.

Captain Smit Machchhar, the Indian captain of flydubai Flight 1073, fought back after being stabbed in the cockpit.

Despite being severely injured, he managed to unlock the cockpit door - allowing Israeli passengers and the Emirati crew to intervene and save all the passengers.

Together, their extraordinary courage saved 174 lives.

Indian. Israeli. Emirati.

Different nationalities. One extraordinary act of courage. 🇮🇳🇮🇱🇦🇪

We wish Captain Machchhar a full and speedy recovery.
