Between now and 2025 we will open new Energy Hubs across the UK. These will provide training at scale, job opportunities, energy advice and consultancy solutions to propel the UK along its trajectory to Net Zero.

The road map to Net Zero by 2050 in the UK contains some significant activity on phasing out the use of gas boilers and improving the energy efficiency of our homes.

None of this is possible without a large workforce equipped with the skills to deliver this activity.

Our goal is to become one of the largest networks of training providers for green skills in the UK. Not only will this help us to reach Net Zero faster but we'll be creating economic opportunity across the country through and access to to quality jobs.

The UK is on the race to meet its Net Zero target by 2050, but we’re falling behind. A lack of skilled workers is holding us back and nowhere is this more apparent than the retrofitting of the UK’s housing stock.

That’s why today we’re launching Reed Environment. We will address the UK’s green skills gap head on, beginning with the retrofit skills shortage.

We will add over 1,000 new retrofitters to the market each year - a 94% increase on current yearly recruitment levels.
