Whew. Been a while since I’ve been on here. Hope everyone’s pre-ERAS time is going well. As always, let me know if you have any PM&R related residency application questions or need something reviewed/read over.
So PSA to all other Attendings today, please send your students home. I have so much cleaning and prep to do for family/friends coming into town. And my mind is nowhere near a clinical setting to focus on patients. Can’t wait to pass it forward one day.
Had an ED shift scheduled from 7a-7p today. After I saw one patient, the attending said “do you just wanna go home?? Isn’t Match Day tomorrow and you’re doing PMR? You don’t need the ED, plus we desperately need good PMR docs like you” and I was just like “umm yes wowww thx”
<48hrs until “preliminary match” Match Day. Oh baby. Oooh baby the anxiety is making its home. Not the worriful anxiety, but the “wow 4 years of work leading to one moment” anxiety we all wait for.
***warning this video is LOUD*** (but adequately represents my emotions)
Two more weeks of interviews.
Finishing up my last PMR Sub-i.
Everything’s slowly coming to a close and I’m so thankful, grateful, and anxious. Now to make it through March
@amywestmd Yes. Half my personal statement is about this. Makes such a difference when educating about health and exercise when I can actually give in-depth recommendations for patient education so they’re more likely to follow through. I love it.
So @TWG2022 were fun and impressive. I wish I had this much hip compression capability, much less on top of 2 other humans. Complete with a forward falling human tower
