Of the 815 civilians killed in Israel on October 7 -- by my count, roughly 1 out of 15 died on camera in footage an outside investigator verified.
Zero have an independent, published forensic cause of death.
I tiered every death by what the record can demonstrate. 🧵

🗽 Pro-Palestinian protesters accused NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani of siding with Israel during an October 7 vigil recently, with criticism intensifying over his newly announced antisemitism plan. The plan doubles funding for a city hate-crime prevention program whose six lead partners include the pro-Israel Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC).
Here’s what you need to know:
🔹The program's $6.4 million is split among six "anchor" groups: the JCRC, the Arab American Association of New York, the Asian American Federation, the Hispanic Federation, the Anti-Violence Project and the 67th Precinct Clergy Council. There's no public breakdown of share by anchor; each passes part of its share to 41 smaller partners.
🔹The same six have been anchors since Mayor Bill de Blasio created the program in 2021. Mamdani did not add the JCRC, but his plan doubles the program's budget.
🔹Why the JCRC draws criticism:
➤ Its stated purpose includes increasing "support for Israel among diverse groups of New Yorkers." It organizes the Israel Day on Fifth parade, which Mamdani boycotted in May.
➤ In January, it joined UJA-Federation, the ADL, the AJC and others criticizing Mamdani for revoking Eric Adams' orders adopting the IHRA definition of antisemitism and targeting the BDS movement.
➤ It has sponsored Israel trips for New York officials, including City Council members, for more than 20 years. UJA-Federation covers almost half its budget.
🔹The city says its work with the JCRC covers interfaith, cultural and anti-hate fellowship programs. It has not said how much of the program's funding goes to the JCRC, which spent $13.5 million in its last fiscal year, or whether any of it could potentially support the group's Israel advocacy.
🔸 An analysis by James Ray and Jordan Duran in Commie Corner found that Mamdani's plan also expands student trips to the Museum of Jewish Heritage, which says its work on antisemitism is "consistent with" the IHRA definition. Separately, in 2025 the museum hosted a pro-Israel activist conference where British columnist Melanie Phillips, a staunch defender of all aspects of Israel's assault on Gaza, declared "there is no such thing as Palestine."
Here are a few of the confessions I noted down while watching Naza.
“Whoever you decided to kill was a terrorist.”
We say 15 NAZA. Not 15 people, or 15 women and children. We say 15 NAZA.”
"It’s like a video game, we’d always say, because everything is done remotely.”
“We didn’t collect the bodies. The dogs eat them.”
- The ‘human shield’ claim about private houses is absurd. They just come home to sleep. That’s where we find them.”
When asked if what’s happening in Gaza is genocide.) “Yes. Completely.... It’s intentional killing. We intended to kill those children.”
“Gaza became a factory of targets… it was done on a mass scale, efficiently, like in a factory.” “A factory of targets.”
“We erased history.”
“The policy is to destroy everything as quickly as possible, before we lose international legitimacy.”
“When we would attack someone and saw he was injured but alive, we usually dropped another bomb on him.”
“I’d hear the final moments of a person’s life.”
“I heard a woman screaming that her daughter’s body was burning.”
“The goal was quantity not quality.”
“There was a boy who entered our territory, he wasn’t doing anything. They bombed him.”
Y’all understand the panic over Naza yet? The film is dismantling their narrative piece by piece, using their own words.
💢 Israeli forces have mostly leveled 48 of the roughly 60 villages and towns in occupied southern Lebanon, according to a New York Times analysis. Most of the destruction came after the April ceasefire.
The Times found the razing was largely carried out through controlled demolitions. Nearly all the destroyed villages were majority Shia, while Christian, Druze and Sunni villages were largely spared. About 270,000 people remain barred from returning home.

This crackdown on free speech and criminalization of protest was the logical end point of a completely bad faith “campus antisemitism crisis” narrative fueled by pro-Israel crybully groups, big donors and a complicit media. Countless lives ruined over a genocide-defending fiction

The Palestinian death toll reported by the Gaza Ministry of Health has been frozen in time by headlines for 3 years at 74,000 -- less than the max capacity of MetLife Stadium.
At US scale, that would still equate to ~11 million Americans dead. It's also the one figure every independent counter agrees is too low.
Thread on why the floor somehow is the "accepted" number. 🧵
The number everyone prints fits in just 1 stadium. The number the standard methods give fills it 2.5x over. It could be higher still, and nobody who prints 74k has gone looking for anything more.
Every other war gets an estimate with an error bar that points up. Gaza gets a registry with a strict bar and never-ending doubt. Until things change, every death that cannot clear said bar goes uncounted, and the floor stays the number.
