James Gray Says AI Is ‘Worthless’ and Explains Why, Despite Locarno's 'Old Man's Award,' His Prime Is ‘Right Now’: ‘I Owe the World One or Two Truly Great Movies' https://t.co/0giul1oSUA
As usual, the best film out of Fantasia this year was a midnight screening from Cannes, and JIM QUEEN might just be one of the very best yet (at least in recent memory); an absolute blast from start to finish. For @highonfilms__, my review:

Since James Gray continues to be American cinema’s most underrated modern director, I decided to rank all of his films for @highonfilms__. All bangers, all worth your time. Just like this list:

For @highonfilms__, I reviews 10S ACROSS THE BORDERS. Basically Paris Is Burning in Southeast Asia, but that in itself makes it a document worth having even if it trades depth for breadth in showing off its own ballroom culture:

Rewatch definitely helped iron out some of the film’s choppiness. Still not top 5 Nolan but definitely has more staying power than I initially gave it credit for.
I have a hard time saying THE ODYSSEY is one of Christopher Nolan’s best films (or even close to it), but I’m open to a second viewing helping to better contextualize what attracted him to such a straightforward adaptation. For @highonfilms__, my review:

AI Appreciation Day is on July 16 — so 'Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die' is returning to theaters for one night for 'AI UN-Appreciation Day' 🍿
There will also be a live-streamed Q&A with Gore Verbinski and special guests after the screening
For @highonfilms__, I ranked the 20 best films of 2026… so far.

Completely blindsided by how much I was into THE INVITE. Easily Olivia Wilde and Seth Rogen’s best performances, and easily Wilde’s best directorial effort (even better than Booksmart!). Really cutting stuff going on here! For @highonfilms__, my review:
