@NYCLegendd@TheKingShaMugga Not true, if you have a clean record the CCW permit is MUST ISSUE regardless of who you are. Yes there’s requirements and a lengthy process, but you simply do it.
He was saying use voting power in order to force change in politics, hold politicians accountable, and obtain human rights. If that didn’t work, that’s when you use bullets and demand your rights. So ask yourself where we’re at in the timeline.
Incorrect. X didn’t vote as a member of the Nation of Islam because you weren’t allowed to. After 1964 X changed his stance and told Black folks to vote. What do you think “The Ballot or The Bullet” speech was about?
Some shooters refuse to carry any firearm that lacks a manual external safety, arguing it prevents accidental discharges under stress. Others prefer a clean, point-and-shoot striker-fired system with internal safeties for faster deployment. Where do you personally stand on manual safeties for everyday carry?
Unpopular opinion:
Many gun owners treat cleaning their firearm like a religious ritual after every single range trip, even if they only fired 50 rounds. Modern firearms and coatings are incredibly resilient. In reality, constantly stripping down a gun and scrubbing it with harsh wire brushes causes more unnecessary wear and tear on tolerances and finishes than actually shooting it. Carbon is lube’s friend up to a certain point; just keep it wet.
A 41-year-old male suspect has been arrested and charged after a National Guardsman was shot near Eastern Market in Washington DC 🚨
DC Police were called out for the shooting at around 11:10pm last night on the 400 block of Eight Street SE.
National Guard members assigned to patrol the US Marine Barracks Row corridor saw a fight outside an establishment and attempted to intervene. A suspect involved in the fight pulled out a firearm and began shooting in front of the National Guard.
The guardsmen ordered the suspect to drop the gun, but he attempted to flee while continuing to shoot at them, striking one National Guard member.
Three National Guard members then fired at the suspect, striking him. The suspect was detained and held until Metropolitan Police Department officers arrived.
DC Fire and EMS transported the injured guardsman and the suspect to area hospitals. Both sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Authorities identified the suspect as Jerrell Jackson, 41, of Southeast Washington DC. Jackson was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (gun), assault on a police officer and emergency personnel, carrying a pistol without a license, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The suspect’s firearm was recovered at the scene and is pictured below.
The Metropolitan Police Department’s Internal Affairs Bureau Force Investigations Team is investigating the shooting. (The unit investigates all law enforcement officer-involved shootings in DC)
The U.S. Attorney’s Office will also conduct an independent review of the facts and evidence. #DCCrime
