Every night, uniformed officers raid pool halls, extort bribes, and harass young people,especially in the poorest neighborhoods. This does not happen in the suburbs. It happens where people have the least power.

Some locations are raided up to five times a night. Refuse to pay, and everyone is bundled into lorries and thrown into cells for doing nothing more than passing time.

This is not policing. This is brutality.

Young people are being punished for existing. Leisure has been criminalized, and authority is being abused. Since when did playing pool become a crime?

We must call this out firmly, consistently, and without fear.
