Hmmmm…Scott Foster calls a phantom foul for LeBron in Houston in a playoff game (HOU is 1-9 with Foster officiating their playoff games). No surprise. Good thing HOU had a challenge to overturn it.
Whoa.... Devin Booker just WENT OFF on the NBA refs right now in the post game press conference:
"It's definitely something that has to be looked at. I heard (Alex) Caruso tell them to call the tech and he ended up doing it. In my 11 years, I haven't called a ref out by name, but James (Williams) was terrible tonight, through and through. It's bad for the sport, bad for the integrity of the sport. People are going to start viewing this as the WWE if they're not held responsible."
"I know I haven't won a championship in this league but I have been in it for 11 years now, so to get to this point to be treated like that, for me to even be saying something out loud, it's bad. It's my first time in 11 years but it's needed. Whatever, I get fined for it, everybody can pull the clips and see where the frustration comes from."
@BGNHoops This also hurt a lot of bettors who bet the Over. Earlier in the day, DEN was 101.5 and the game total was 210.5. Overtime would've passed those totals easily. So not only are many fans pissed on the outcome decided this way, but big sports bettors can question legitimacy here
Great work here. Yup, it looks like some fingers are still on the ball. But tying up the series at 2-2 makes more $ for the league. And perhaps ending this game sooner than later gets viewers over to the GSW-HOU game, which had already started.
@SportsTalk790@AdamJWexler@adamclanton@MrColeThompson@iHeartRadio Love the show. FYI: Scott Foster last officiated a game on March 17th. The last Houston game he officiated was December 19th vs New Orleans. He had a pretty normal schedule until that March 17th game except b/w Feb 21st and March 5th. He must be dealing with a nagging injury.
Lane violation should’ve been called on Jordan. He made a quick step in the lane before Sengun released the ball, which probably distracted him to miss a crucial free throw badly.
🚨🚨THIS IS CRAZY🚨🚨
THE CLOCK HIT DOUBLE ZERO AND THE #CHIEFS SHOULD HAVE BEEN PENALIZED… INSTEAD THE REFS LET THE CLOWN RUNDOWN TO THE 2-MINUTE WARNING.
LITERALLY A CLEAR DELAY OF GAME AND THE REFS DO NOT CALL IT.
#BILLS GET SCREWED 🤯🤯🤯
Ever wonder if refs know the Under/Over? Check out these missed calls at the end of OKC-POR Sunday. O/U was 226 (score was 118-108) and refs ignore obvious contact at 0:34 and 0:14 seconds. Even the announcers for BOTH TEAMS call out the no-call at 0:14! @Exhoopsmc@kevincalabro
@Jonathan_Feigen@HoustonChron I dropped everything I was doing to read this article when I saw the headline. Such a great inspiration to me while I was the fledgling "Yao Ming guy" who got to know you a bit during those years. You're a pro, worked so hard, asking the best Q's. You deserve this retirement!
Was this a neutral zone infraction on that 4th & 1? Just imagine the fallout in Houston if they had called it (and after a missed extra point earlier).
@mikal_bridges@EliasSports do you have any stats on a scenario like this at the end of a game, even without considering the Over/Under? I’ve got to think it has happened only once in 30 years (or more), like Nick Anderson missing 4 FTs in the Rockets-Magic ‘95 Finals? That’s it, right?
NBA should investigate @mikal_bridges ASAP. Over/under was 230.5 tonight vs DET and he missed 4 FTs in a row (almost unprecedented!) in the final 25 seconds! (Cam Johnson also missed 1 FT). Final score 118-112. If you picked the Over, you got screwed!! @notthefakeSVP#Badbeat
@mikal_bridges is also an 86% FT shooter this season and career, and misses 4FTs in a row in that situation where 1 point gets some bettors to the Over? Hmmm 🤔
@BobbyMarks42 Here’s another poor performance in the last 25 seconds that should be looked into. When is the last time an 86% FT shooter missed 4 in a row being so close to the Over/Under at the end of a game?
