Girl to Girl:
Your period is your body’s report card.
• Short cycles (21 days or less) = low progesterone
• Long cycles (35 days or more) = delayed ovulation
• Diarrhea during periods = inflammation • Light bleeding = low estrogen
• Heavy long bleeding = high estrogen
When I lived in South Korea, many things fascinated me. For example, one late evening, my Korean friend was walking me home when we spotted a phone on a bench at a bus stop. Someone must have forgotten it there. We couldn’t unlock it because it required a passcode, so my friend called the police to report it. The police arrived within five minutes. They took the phone, and hopefully the owner was later able to retrieve it from the police station. I was amazed by how quickly they responded.
Another time, my co-teacher dropped her phone in a parking lot. Someone found it and handed it over to the police. She was able to get her phone back the very next day.
