Mhm. I’ll try. But it is an endearing concept.
[ He leans into her touch, his own arm wrapping around her to hold her close, warmth finding comfort in her cool skin. He briefly glances around the hall, to check their privacy, before pressing his lips to her temple. ]
It’s not -
cease that thought. (she huffs ﹐ lighthearted———opting to intertwine their hands instead; frigid palm pressing against his warmth ﹐ seeking an oasis in her bitter frost.)
-partly for their self-protection, and due to the Akasha’s influence.
[ There’s a subtle smile on his face. ]
Now I’m imagining you playing with them. It’s a… nice thought.
It’s not humility. I’m just averse to directing attention to myself.
[ Except of course, for those he wants the attention of. He shifts closer, his arm subtly brushing against the side of hers.]
They have… mostly hidden themselves away over the years. I understood this was -
how humble. are you always making light of your own contributions to the success of the plan? (anastasya taps her fingers against her arm ﹐ considering———then ﹐ a nod.)
-would be of more help in this situation. Their powers are not to be underestimated. I am confident she will be safe with them.
[ His eyes soften a little as she speaks of them. ]
You find them adorable?
Consulted, more like. It wasn't a big deal. It just needed to be done.
[ Alhaitham had a habit of downplaying his contributions— not out of false humility, but he simply did not want to be thrust into the spotlight. ]
Yes, they are. Creatures of pure wisdom. No doubt they -
so it seems. the traveler told me you assisted in the creation of the new irminsul? a remarkable feat. (arms folding ﹐ head tilting to side.) familiars… you speak of the aranara.
@polaristellae -like a single campfire in the forest. He would approach Childe, give him a short nod of acknowledgement, and speak.
"I hope you did not wait too long." Cue the murmurs from the crowd as it is revealed he was who the guest was waiting for.
@polaristellae -himself. But Alhaitham had never quite been the recepient of such acts— it was always people cowering in fear, or facing him with contempt and anger.
This was... Fascinating to say the least.
It was easy to spot the Harbinger, who stood out in a sea of green robes and hats-
@polaristellae || Oh yep. Heard about that too.
I was thinking of using him for Electro Charge (with Ororon + Ifa, possibly Yelan too). Or at least a Hydro onfielder for Freeze
|| That aside, I'm getting Childe for my free limited on NA.
I think he's the only character (not counting Aloy) that I haven't really tried out or understood the gameplay of, because I never actually got him anywhere while he was on the banner.
- And while Alhaitham recognizes the risks, Marana is actively avoiding the gaze of Celestia. ]
I imagine my work will be confined to assisting the Akademiya in Sumeru City.
Lesser Lord Kusanali... I believe she might want to attend on her own, though in the past, she has been accompanied by her familiars.
[ There was also the high chance he will be assigned elsewhere— the Aranara represent her more on matters like these. -
i am. it wouldn't be surprising. the raiden shogun has already notified zapolyarny of her arrival ﹐ alongside natlan's archon. it is only a matter of time before the others arrive.
|| I've been trying to put this into words and I always felt like I couldn't say it properly but I suppose the reason why online fan spaces feel so hostile is because the paradigm of media critique has shifted towards cynicism and arguments in bad faith.
|| - therefore it's BAD' type of criticism.
It stinks of, at the very least, an amateurish, juvenile way of understanding narratives, and at worst, a litmus test of an average person's tendency to be skewed towards extreme sociopolitical beliefs (on both sides).
