Just received my Income Tax code; looks like the basic tax allowance is soon to be pegged to state pension, so private pensions are taxed like pay.

Don't tell me that #Rishi_Sunak hasn't profited from #the_poor .
His parents were writing and filling NHS prescriptions. That didn't keep them poor.

#Hallett_COVID_inquiry
Way back when the pandemic was yet to be, an academic spoke on the radio about a desk exercise that modelled reacting to a #pandemic. This exercise was, I think, in 2016. I don't recall that academic speaking again in the media.

#Therese_Coffey
Did she just list #doctors #dentists #chiropractors in her proposed review of #NHS ?

#Rishi-Sunak lacks understanding and compassion.
Where's the #lateral-thinking in the #Treasury now the #BoE has blown the gaff.
Get it off the balance sheet with #'Poor'-#War-Bonds .

[Reflective Learning @ReflectiveLear1]

#not_his_finest_hour
Shifty #Sunak should clear out the #skeletons_in_the_closet now so I can then get a better night's sleep.
Get a rebate from the dodgy #tax consultants and engage a moral philosopher.

[Reflective Learning @ReflectiveLear1]

#Boris_Johnson
Besides the myriad flaws and faults of Boris Johnson, his #vanity stops him wearing glasses when he has ill-prepared the briefs given to him.
So we hear him say £140 per week instead of £140 per week.

#winter_fuel_payment
Value halved since introduction.
Government #revalue_winter_fuel_payment !!

@LemSip27 My gift to Germany came back. 6€ handling fee and VAT 19% of value declared on the customs form. Can't blame them letting it go if they don't know if they'll appreciate it. So you transfer money to them to get it.

[Reflective Learning @ReflectiveLear1]

Xmas #gifts to family in #Germany from UK
It's a shocker! Consider #transferring_money to the recipient of a gift to cover 6€ (#handling_fee) and 19% of value declared on customs form (#VAT) AT LEAST

So, it seems, like children, that electric scooters will be safely wheeled around the aisles in the supermarket, no even folded in a trolley.
