I never, ever, want to hear another slur against Indians or Indian Americans after the heroic actions of Captain Smit Machchhar of FlyDubai flight FZ1073, who fought off his Omani copilot in an alleged terrorist attack, had the presence of mind to alert air traffic control that he was under attack, and opened the cockpit door before collapsing, so passengers could storm the cockpit, subdue his attacker, and regain control of the aircraft.

The massive Matang community protest currently bringing Mumbai to a standstill has completely shattered the manufactured myth of monolithic "Bahujan Unity".

Look at the raw visual reality on the streets:

Thousands of protesters from the Matang community have converged at Azad Maidan, surviving on chutney and bhakri, threatening to choke Mumbai for 15 days, and issuing an open ultimatum of self-immolation to the Maharashtra government if a Government Resolution (GR) on SC sub-categorization is not issued immediately.

Why is the vocal Ambedkarite media completely paralyzed into silence right now?

Because this protest exposes the dirtiest open secret of caste politics: the internal monopolization of the SC quota.

In Maharashtra, two groups make up nearly 85% of the SC population: Neo-Buddhists and Matangs.

Yet for decades, one politically dominant and vocal section cornered the vast majority of education, bureaucratic posts, and political capital, while the Matang community remained on the absolute margins.

For 40 years, the Matangs have demanded a 5% sub-quota within the 13% SC reservation.

Now that the Supreme Court has constitutionally affirmed sub-classification to ensure affirmative action reaches the weakest of the weak, look at who is opposing it:

Prakash Ambedkar and his ecosystem.

Instead of standing with the most deprived Dalits, Prakash Ambedkar has actively attacked the Justice Badar Committee, calling sub-categorization a "conspiracy" and warning the state of violent unrest if the quota is divided.

When it comes to abusing Hindu society, weaponizing the SC/ST Act, or screaming on prime-time debates, they present themselves as the sole champions of the entire Dalit community.

But the moment the most backward Dalits, whether it is the Matangs in Maharashtra, the Madigas in Telangana, or the Valmikis in the north, ask for their fair share of the pie, the Ambedkarite elite turns into the oppressor.

The fire of sub-categorization that started in the north has arrived in Mumbai.

The marginalized within the marginalized are refusing to be used as mere foot soldiers to preserve someone else's political empire.

Support the sub-classification of the SC quota or stop preaching about social justice.

You cannot preach equality to the world while running an internal caste cartel at home.
