Advocating a more equitable professional tennis system. Fan of @WorldTeamTennis & Challengers. Public policy by day. Aspiring 4.0 player whenever possible.
@USCWBB Really gutsy OT play after it looked for a moment like Clemson had pulled off a miracle winner at the end of regulation. #FightOn#USC#Clemson ✌🏻
@JomTones12@racquetmagazine Interesting - would be great to get Dunlop’s reaction to his view that their quality has declined.
As a recreational player (4ish UTR) I prefer the Wilson US Open balls for playability, but then I don’t have elite tennis sensibilities.
@pavyg What are you referring to by establishment, and what would you expect perception to look like? In the US tennis is a 2nd tier sport. Most general sports fans here couldn’t name the top 2 or 3 US male players, let alone a new guy (though women like Coco are better known).
Proposed change to prize $: If you take a set off a player ranked more than 30 spots above you in a loss, you get a bonus equal to 10% of that person’s eventual prize money in the tournament. Rewards valiant underdogs for going out swinging

@BastienFachan Saw her at a challenger around 2018. She didn’t win. No indication then that she would make top 50 let alone Top 10. Must be among the all-time most impressive late career surges.
@timecaptales In 1996 I saw him play a concert called Jazz Meets the Symphony in Edinburgh. Lalo Schifrin, composer of Mission Impossible, conducted. At one point Morrison held a trumpet in one hand, a trombone in the other, and alternated them. Yes, he played a trombone one-handed! Amazing.
