Jesus isn’t discounting scripture, rather pointing Jews BACK to scripture by saying that He’s the author! Like the Jews at the time, you have the wrong view of scripture and of God.

@jeremyjernigan No. Endurance of faith is not something that we are capable of without being elected by God.

A few examples:
"Those who went out from us were never really with us" (1 John 2:19)
"This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me" (Matt. 15:8)
