Hello everyone,

Today marks the one-year anniversary of Refraction VR assuming management of https://t.co/Tb16QOlf0W. It has been a year of incredible growth, positive change, and community building. I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished together.

Here are some of our key achievements from the past year:

Community Safety & Moderation: We made safety our top priority, reporting over 300 malicious accounts and avatars to VRChat Trust and Safety and collaborating with law enforcement when needed.

Shared Resources: We empowered other groups to improve their own moderation and group management by sharing the group management bot we use, Scarlet. (Join here: https://t.co/0AxH3w5LQs)

Incredible Growth: Our community has flourished! The LGBTQ.7981 VRChat group has grown by more than 5,000 members, and our Discord community has expanded to over 1,500 members.

The Gay Cafe: Thanks to a generous world donation from @spookyghostboo1 (Thank you for the La Barista), we launched our new community hub, "The Gay Cafe." https://t.co/Sm4Q8uh9Nw. We completely updated the world to SDK3, optimized it, expanded the space, and have made it a public resource for any group to use.

@VRChat Official Pride Hub: We were honored to have The Gay Cafe’s float and portal featured in the official VRChat Pride hub. https://t.co/Mn4oybLkQi. A huge thank you to the VRChat staff for this wonderful collaboration! Also, my staff has also informed me that we managed to help raise ~$1,000 during the charity event.

We have successfully moved past old challenges and built a stronger, safer, and more vibrant community. Thank you to every one of you for being a part of this journey. I am excited to see what we will achieve together in the years to come.

Today we honor the brave souls who gave their life to service our country. We recognize the veterans and active service members and military families including our LGBTQ+ community members. Their courage and sacrifice will be honored today. 🇺🇸🏳️‍🌈

We look in remembrance of a man named Harvey Milk today. He was the first gay person to hold public office in California. His work helped fight against the discrimination and advancement of LGBTQ+ rights. Arnold Schwarzeneggar made his legacy a day in 2009.#HarveyMilkDay
