LGBTQ person(s) overcome risks to escape prosecution in their home countries, they will face the “double stigma” of being both LGBTQ and a refugee and may have to survive refugee camps, where both officials and other residents can have high levels of homophobia and transphobia.

Kakuma camp is not safe for LGBTQ Refugees in East Africa, there are better ways. If only the responsible bodies would make use of the existing shelters/resource centers for LGBTQ as an alternative to housing LGBTQ Refugee, these cases would be minimal.
