NEW: Brendan Sorsby's agent, Ron Slavin, claims Cincinnati knew about the gambling addiction and took no action:
“If anybody should be questioned or catching heat, it should be Cincinnati. Because they knew for two years and never said anything or didn’t do anything about it. That’s the part of the story that gets lost.”

@Smitttyg30@flatland_sports Absolutely ZERO gambling done at Tech. Lol
Meanwhile I never said they had proof he was gambling on football, but they knew he was active on apps and he told them he was trying to bet on "allowed" sports. Which should be a red flag. Could've reported him to the NCAA but didn't.
@Smitttyg30@flatland_sports "Sorsby assured them he was trying to bet on allowed sports..."
They knew he was active on betting apps and trying to place bets. Instead of trying to properly clear him of any impropriety, they shrugged it off and proceeded to play him for 2yrs.
Don't let this gesture of performative morality distract from the fact that Cincinati KNEW Sorbsy was active on gambling apps and still chose to play him, yet there are no threats of sanctions or legal action against them from the Big12.
NEWS: The Big 12 has filed a legal complaint in federal court against Texas Tech & the Texas AG, seeking declaratory judgement and a preliminary injunction to enforce its bylaws and potentially sanction the school for its plans to play Brendan Sorsby.

@GraceRandolph I like Brian Tyree Henry a lot, but I feel he is a better fit for a character like Dr. Langstrom aka the Man-Bat, Killer Croc or an interesting take on the Ventriloquist.
As for Harvey Dent, if they're dead set on race-bending, then either Sterling K. Brown or Coleman Domingo.
@UteTrain@Krovektv@Redraider6943@PeteThamel It's a far cry because Cincy actually broke rules, whether through willful ignorance or lies. Cincy refused to properly investigate and clear him of impropriety after being informed he was active on gambling apps, meanwhile Tech has fully complied with NCAA and the Law so far.
@Krovektv@UteTrain@Redraider6943@PeteThamel It's absolutely fact that Cincinatti was alerted that Sorsby was active on gambling apps and they still played him. But I get it, its hard for a performative moralist to be consistent with their outrage.
@Krovektv@UteTrain@Redraider6943@PeteThamel A simple google search goes a long way.
Meanwhile, all you can muster is "Cincinati is in the wrong"? Not gonna call them "trashy" or "greedy"? Where's the same vigor that you direct at Tech? Or is your outrage performative and disingenous?
@Ketter879@BudElliott3 You're assuming that today ego supersedes greed. Ego and power may have driven the world 100yrs ago, but today it is very obviously driven by money.
@UteTrain@Redraider6943@Krovektv@PeteThamel Cincinati actually played him despite knowing he was active on those gambling apps, yet you lack any of the same "moral outrage" towards Cincy thst you have towards Tech. That's what makes your whining performative and disingenuous.
@EmirUdovcic@HectorLeadsTX@NicoleAuerbach It's not my thoughts, and I don't need to prove it, it's a matter of fact. Don't let your emotions cloud rationality. All it takes is a quick Google search. You want to white knight for Cincy, burden of proof is on you. Good luck!
@YDKI007@NicoleAuerbach Including you and your BS faux moral outrage. Frothing at the mouth at Tech, who has done absolutely nothing wrong, while being absolutely silent about Cincinati's complicity after they knowingly played the guy after being alerted to his activity on gambling apps.
@EmirUdovcic@HectorLeadsTX@NicoleAuerbach They knew without a doubt he was active on gambling apps, and choosing not to conduct a proper investigation, they still played him. They could have benched him until they had definitively cleared him of any impropriety, but they didn't.
The easy tell that anyone sanctimoniously posturing over the Sorsby situation is devoid of any genuine conviction is whether they hold Indiana and Cincinati to the same fire they are holding Tech.
The Boys finale was...okay.
They dotted their I's and crossed their T's to close loose threads and unfinished arcs. Seems in their fear of the infamous GOT finale, they timidly settled for something rushed, mild, and safe. Kinda disappointing.
