At least 27% of all of the 347 new SMDs on the ballot this November will be OPEN races (the number is likely quite higher once you factor in ANC retirements). The signature collection period for ANC candidates (25 sigs req.) will be from July 20-Aug. 10, so mark your calendars!

The Mayor has signed DC's new ward boundaries into law. The new lines go into effect starting on January 1. Thanks again to the hundreds of District residents who testified, wrote in, or submitted maps to the Council for consideration!
