This one isn’t a funny one.

Aging is inevitable. We all do it. It’s accepting the fact that ourselves and those around us won’t be here forever and what we do to and for others is what’s really fulfilling.

A lot of spins on this spaceship we call earth and the fact that a lot of people use it for bad is depressing.

But keep a stiff upper lip, treat people nicely and press on. It’s all we can do. We’re all made of star dust.

And tell people you love them goddamnit.

*Warning* I’m gonna do the sappy end of year post.

•I lost a friend overseas this year.
•I took a WILD vacation that I solely paid for for the first time in my life and the first in general in almost 13 years.
•On said holiday I visited @UNC_Basketball for the first time and was humbled.
•Same trip I saw @LAFC in person, my MLS soccer team that helped me through some rough times before, during and post-pandemic.
•I made nice with some old friends and they have let me back into the ‘friend group’ which goes a long way.
•I wrote a song that I plan on recording.
•I’ve paid off debt; moved up credit
•I got a promotion and multiple raises
•Nothing I need goes by the wayside. If I, mom or Neo need it, we just go get it.
•I also have come to terms with family members moving into nursing homes…

2023 was a fever dream.

Every practice is a present.
Every game is a gift.
Hug your loved ones.
Say “I love you.”
Go on that vacation.
Life is short.
