Excited and honored today to celebrate and showcase Pamlico’s success with our AP program at the SBOE meeting in Raleigh. Extremely proud of PCHS and our entire region on increasing access and achievement!
If every child came ready to be taught, teaching would be easy. But some need food. Some need supplies. Some need love. Some need nurturing. Some need patience and some to be seen. Teachers meet them where they are as they enter their classroom, and that is most honorable.
Kids appreciate it when you smile at them. They also appreciate you talking to them like a normal person. It doesn’t take much to build a connection. But you gotta like ‘em.
First time ever participating in a parade! Proud of our student council, National Junior Honor Society, and our NMS cheerleaders for highlighting our school in the Newport Parade.
As my wife says about the challenges of parenting, “We just need to keep showing up, keep loving them.”
That certainly applies to the difficult days in education…keep showing up, keep loving them.
It’s been an honor to serve the students, staff, and community of pamlico for the last three years. I am excited for my next adventure and serving the students, staff, and community of Newport in Carteret County!
A nice end to a busy week! We had our Spring Fling dance. It always so refreshing to see kids being kids and teachers having fun after a long week of teaching and learning!
