@lanajulie33 Be kind, always. It is easy to get frustrated and angry sometimes. But it really isn’t going to be your Mom’s fault. Last three years my mom didn’t know who I was. In order to reduce her stress and confusion, I stopped calling her Mom and used her name instead. Best to you.
@CrazyVibes_1 OMG, designing and creating your own wedding dress. Wow! Remember, your MIL comes from another era. This is your time to shine. This is your day, don’t make it about anyone else.
@Bell_Support why is anything on the “demand” services such as Crave, HBO, Prime not playing to speed with minutes long pauses. Yes, I did reboot the PVR box. For the bucks I am paying I expect a much better service. This has been going for days. I am in the K1B area.
My mom had Alz as well. Whenever I had to repeat myself more than twice, I took it as an opportunity to initiate new discussions by the kinds of (sometimes silly) answers I would give. Although she didn’t know who I was, we had many laughs during those special times. 🥰
My mom has dementia. Today I caught myself getting frustrated bc I had to repeat the same thing over 15 times. Then it dawned on me that with time she won’t even remember who I am. And somehow I was thankful that she’s still capable of that. Perspective is everything
Well, I cook from scratch. I cooked 3 meals a day for more than 20 years, until my son left home. Then I ate at my own pleasure. I still cook from scratch. But now it’s not something I have to do. 😊
@KityLonglegs I know many people who live on their own and live fulfilling lives. I cannot see myself living with another person again. I’ve been on my own and enjoy it.
