2 years after one terrible night changed two families forever, the past is beginning to speak — and someone desperately wants it to remain silent.

SMOKE & MIRRORS — Episode 1, Part 2 continues the gripping Nigerian romantic suspense drama as Wale and Tomi are pulled back into a history filled with forbidden love, family secrets, forged land documents, betrayal, buried evidence, and a fire that may not have happened the way they were told.

In present-day Lagos, Wale is building a powerful future around the ambitious Asejere Bay development, but Tomi’s investigation begins exposing disturbing questions about the land beneath it. Their unexpected reunion brings back emotions neither of them completely buried — while also reopening wounds that have remained untouched for 22 years.

As Tomi follows the evidence, an old white-bird mirror shard becomes more than a childhood memory. Taj warns her to stay away from Oke-Aro. Wale begins questioning the version of his father’s death he grew up believing.

“Do not dig under graves that are finally quiet.”

But why is everyone so afraid of what Wale and Tomi might discover?

Who really knows what happened the night of the fire?
Why was Taj forced into hiding?
What is Morounke protecting Wale from?
And how deeply is Chief Babatunde connected to the truth?

The deeper they look, the more dangerous the past becomes.
