@TheMedicJournal I am a pediatric anesthesiologist and love it. Such a privilege to gain trust from family and child and then care for them through many challenging and difficult procedures. Love the focus, the physiology, and working with an incredible team!
@JSinghDO No question for me that I would keep my surname. I was also the first doctor in my family and I knew my parents were proud. The only issue was the kids. I was OK with them taking my husband’s name. No one ever wondered who their mother was 🥰
@drlesleybarron My kids went to the local public school but still questioned us when they were younger - are we not as smart as our friends?? I told them they were better because they were thriving and making friends with many less fortunate.
@HeatherM211 The only negative evaluation in my residency was for my peds anesthesia rotation. I loved it but was just exhausted studying for my exams with a toddler at home. Only you know what’s in your heart.
I put myself out there this week and spent some time talking about my journey, my family and career.
Here are some #leadership (and life) lessons I shared.
I have been blessed with great mentors and strive to be one to others.
