@ZandrakOF @HMaster097 @TheZodiacHeir I think it was something like, they all went on trips when they were younger, during their teenage years kya and bumi stopped going and by the time they wanted to go in their 20s tenzin needed special attention to pass on air bender knowledge cause aang knew he was dying

At most I think he was an ok dad to kya and bumi but an amazing father to tenzin

It takes hindsight to figure you did something wrong sometimes

It just makes aang more tragic in a way, the genocide of his people kept affecting even when he had a family, it caused him to neglect two of his children

Kya was mostly annoyed with tenzin acting like he's better cause he's the airbender

Completely neglect his family and focus on his other duties

Or abandon his avatar duties for his culture and family

He made a compromise and was OK at everything

@TheZodiacHeir Werent interested and didn't force it upon them tenzin who was an airbender made it his responsibility to restore the air nation and took it seriously even damaging his relationship with his siblings cause they didn't take part in the culture

They were upset at tenzin not aang

@Taishoja I mean the movie kinda shows that he pivoted from wanting more airbenders to spending time teaching others his culture to rebuild the air nation, they probably planned on 3 kids anyways and lucked out with tenzin being an airbender
