2 years ago I decided it was time for me to do sth. I couldn't work, I could hardly concentrate or stay seated for long periods, but I had been a vegetable for 2years & I couldn't see a future being so disabled.
I needed to feel like I was going forward somehow, so I did 1/
@healingfromlc @Fassreifen Mine too. It kept going down the first years, accompanied by dizziness and balance problems. It has gotten better, but it's still low compared to most people. And same thing with my HR.
A NEW nasal spray that trap & neutralize not only SARS-CoV-2, Influenza, RSV, Adeno & many other viruses & bacteria that are inhaled into the nose, immobilizing them until they die. The substance is >99.9% effective & contains no drugs 1/
But it can also mean a lot of time to think about ur life, to discover who is really there for you & who to give ur fucks to from now on. To learn to really love urself & what really matters, to meet empathic people, to reset ur priorities & rewrite your future. Don't lose hope🫂
Side effects of #Gabapentin (12th day of treatment):
- Itchy throat & coughing fits (they've gotten better though)
- Loss of balance
- Fatigue & sleepiness
- Nightmares every night (it's supposed to only happen to <1% 🥲)
- mood change (1st week).
- inflammation (only a few days)
My sense of balance was also affected, all of a sudden I go sideways & my vision gets a little weird, then back to being ok.
But apart from these side effects & some added fatigue I'm alright.
The coughing fits at night are getting milder & the other symptoms too🤞🏻
..patience..
I had a visit with the lung specialist today. She said we're running out of possibilities to treat my problem. So far, nothing has truly worked.
So this time she prescribed me the neuromodulator #gabapentin for the chronic cough & fatigue.
Has anybody tried it? Ill start tomorrow
(11th day ttm)
4th day taking 600mg/day.
The 1st night I x2 the dose I had 1 hour of coughing fit with significant respiratory distress due to my tracheobroncomalacia.
The following 2 nights I had to put on & take off my CPAP a few times bc my throat got itchy & I had to cough 1/
I've been seeing a lot about the PlusLife COVID tester on my TL lately but haven't done any research on it. Can anyone give me the low down about why it's the bee's knees?
@MsGinnyGirl Me neither. I get the "try to have a happy, fulfilling life & socialize", but it's possible doing so AND protecting yourself. At least, minimize the threat when possible.
I've read too much &I've experienced way too much to simply forget it all & put my body through this again🙅🏻♀️
A good longhauler friend (I met her in 2021 when we were both at our worst) learnt I have a boyfriend & she was so glad for me she said "Im glad u finally got over your social barrier"
My what?😳
So protecting myself from getting sick over & over again is an irrational phobia?☠️
These people don't follow the science anymore & don't mask anymore bc noone does.. but then come to you for advice every few months because "damn it, I'm sick again, I have these new symptoms, they don't go away, what can I do" Seriously? Don't ask me anymore 🥲 I got triggered🥹
I know her message was well intentioned, but it felt so wrong🥴
One thing is having "healthy" people gaslighting you out of their own ignorance, another is to have fought the battle alongside someone and suddenly be told there is no enemy to beware of. It's all in your mind 🙃
NEW PREPRINT! This one seems potentially very, VERY SIGNIFICANT!
This study found "significant reductions in measures of mitochondrial content and impaired muscle energetics" in LC fatigue—AND a corresponding biomarker!
