Comparison of Drug-Coated versus Conventional Balloons for side branches in bifurcation lesions: OCVC-BIF Study Reduced side branch restenosis with DCB at 9 months https://t.co/2Zx7avvVzA
🔊 Proper IVL balloon prep matters!
Even small amounts of residual air can reduce sonic pressure by up to 20%. And remember: non-ionic contrast alone won’t work. IVL requires a saline-contrast mixture to generate shockwaves.

This State-of-the-Art review provides a comprehensive and practical overview of coronary interventions related to TAVI, encompassing coronary evaluation and physiological assessment, the indications and timing of percutaneous coronary intervention before and after valve implantation, and strategies for managing coronary obstruction. https://t.co/yojhLj5N5p
Here's a case describing a novel technique (the double-DCB technique) for the treatment of recurrent in-stent restenosis by applying 2 different DCBs, thereby avoiding the implantation of another layer of metal in our patients. https://t.co/dXa5lfToF9 #JACCCaseReports#PCI
I would say that the KISS trial @JACCJournals not only proved that you do not need to do routine SB intervention (commonly kissing), rather I would say the most significant change is proving the concept of POT-side-POT (done in 57% of SB interventions and seems to be more favorable than kissing).
I have been recently doing POT-side-POT instead of kissing when I need SBI and that study proved it can be better!
Congrats to the authors and @sbrugaletta for an insightful editorial!

❤️🔥 DCB-PCI in True Left Main Bifurcation PCI: Evidence and Considerations
🎈DCB > POBA for SB in terms of angiographic outcomes.
🎈Theoretically, upfront DCB angioplasty for SB can transform DEFINITION II type bifurcation into EBC-MAIN type bifurcation.

New insights for DCB:
• Prolong pre-dilation inflation.
• Start the timer once the DCB is loaded on the monorail and ready to be delivered.
• If not delivered within >2 mins, replace the DCB.

A DCB-only strategy for de novo coronary CTOs may promote favourable plaque redistribution and stabilisation over time.
In 3 serial CCTA cases using conventional CT and photon-counting CT, residual stenosis remained <40% at follow-up, with reductions in plaque burden and remodelling index after paclitaxel-eluting balloon PCI. #CardioTwitter #PCI #DCB #CCTA

DCB use in de novo PCI is expanding, but optimal guidance remains unclear.
This viewpoint discusses the potential role of intracoronary imaging to guide lesion selection, preparation, and optimisation—highlighting key evidence gaps.

New Journal Club review: NOBLE 10-year outcomes of PCI vs CABG in left main disease
🔗https://t.co/BVu92fFLuv
Long-term evidence comparing PCI and CABG for unprotected left main coronary disease has been limited and sometimes conflicting. The 10-year results from the NOBLE trial now provide important clarity on all-cause mortality outcomes with both revascularisation strategies.
