@AndieRedwine @IanKeithMcDowel I knew I hated Bambi, but forgot why. The Japanese style cartooning is wonderful, so it musta been the voices. If that kid was Bambi, I won’t give it another chance. Disney’s rich enough w/o my money.

The superb Basil Rathbone, the amusing ham Bela Lugosi, the fine character actor Lionel Atwill, a reasonably good script all brought to grief by the awesomely untalented child “actor.” He’s about the worst I’ve ever seen. Horrors! #TCMParty #SonOfFrankenstein

Here’s a question/plea for help: Can you name a deeply engrossing, emotionally satisfying war romance? A GREAT one: famous/obscure doesn’t matter. I can think of CASABLANCA & (in the proper mood) THAT HAMILTON WOMAN; I know I’ve seen others, but can’t think of any. #TCMParty

@Zillanna Mancini was very great. Anche era un vero padre di famiglia italiano. The #BreakfastAtTiffanys opening on the accordion is a dazzler. I put together a 4 hr flashdrive devoted to great title songs, & Mancini is well represented. #Charade’s another great one. And #ThePinkPanther!

One of the great line readings in motion picture history — & I can’t show it to help promote the picture b/c the current suits at the studio, who had no part in the picture’s creation, consider it theft to show a scene that will sell copies.

I stopped blogging regularly partly bc I got tired of pouring my heart out over a picture like #GoodbyeMrChips, only to get death threats from bigots who called me a fag & b/c studios (esp Warners) would delete scenes I uploaded & threaten to sue.
