The A69 corvette SAS Transvaal (Cdr V. Holderness) is launched in Lorient, France in November 1977
The ship is taken over by France in compliance with the United Nations Arms Embargo against South Africa. She is eventually sold to Argentina and served in that Navy as ARA Guerrico
