*99 minute cut, not 103. Technically 95 minutes PAL, but who's really counting?

The matted DVD is a HUGE upgrade over the 4:3 capture that's floating around Archive and YouTube. Pity this is likely as good as the extended Italian cut gets, but it's certainly better than nothing.

Sinister Films including the 103 minute "original" cut of Ralph Bakshi's COONSKIN is an amazing bonus feature, and I'm glad to have the best release of this massively extended cut... even if the quality is limited.

Double the pity it's cropped in so heavily.

Irony: The original Gruppo Logica 2000 VHS this transfer was almost certainly based on was an open-matte transfer!

I'm not going to complain that a 1970s feature film is presented in 16:9, but I've always, ALWAYS thought Coonskin looked oddly cramped at 1.85 - even on 35mm...

I'm a huge Cregger-head but during this entire press tour for Resident Evil I genuinely think he was not a good fit for adapting a huge IP. I look forward to his film as a horror film but the fact it was blatantly clear he was embarrassed to adapt the source material because it was too silly just shows he didn't actually understand it.
