These games are designed around coersing you into paying big bucks for a chance to get more enjoyment outta the game.
You could buy FF7R 1&2 for the same price as like 50 multis

@TheIndexDevice If you can get every character for free, guaranteed, no strings, then sure it's alright. But I have a question. Do you actually play limbus company?
Do you actually play LC, or do you just use it as a shield to defend the gachas you play that are nothing like it.

@TheIndexDevice There's a whole nother conversation to be had about modern games with the "ship it as is and finish developing the game with paid DLC later" epidemic, but those at least have a defined price. The only thing $50 guarantees you in a gacha game is some grey weapons.

@TheIndexDevice I never said fomo was exclusive but it sure is the worst in gachas. Let's not be obtuse about stealing time, you know what "padding playtime" is, and it's all gacha's do. And literally what is worse for monetization than paying for a CHANCE at, not cosmetics, new content.

You can put as many cool lights and patterns on it, play some bumping music and make it zoom around this great race track, but at the end of the day you still just dropping a bowling ball on your own head

It literally doesn't matter how much effort they put in, it's still a gacha game.

You can buy entire modern games for the price of a 10% chance at new content in gacha's
