Suryakumar Yadav on Shreyas Iyer becoming India's new T20I captain:
🗣️ “I'm very happy for Shreyas. We've played a lot of cricket together for Mumbai and India over the years. Seeing him get the opportunity to lead the Indian T20I team is a special moment.
What makes it even more special is that India now has three consecutive T20I captains from Mumbai. It's a matter of immense pride for Mumbai cricket, and I believe everyone associated with it should celebrate this achievement.” 🇮🇳💙

Argentina have suffered a major setback ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with defender Leonardo Balerdi ruled out of the tournament due to a calf injury sustained during training. The 27-year-old centre-back suffered a muscle injury in the soleus of his right leg and will no longer be part of Lionel Scaloni’s squad.
Balerdi earned his place in Argentina’s World Cup squad after an impressive season with Olympique de Marseille and was expected to provide valuable defensive depth for the reigning world champions. His absence now forces Scaloni and the Argentine coaching staff to select a replacement before the start of the competition.
Argentina are set to begin their World Cup campaign on June 16, and the loss of Balerdi represents an unfortunate blow as they prepare to defend their title on the world stage.
